NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki on Tuesday reported 56% increase in net profit in April-June quarter, backed by higher sales and cost-efficiency measures. Total sales went up by 14% in the period at 3.41 lakh units. The company's net profit was Rs 1,193 crore in Q1 compared to Rs 762 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
